Thanks for doing this, buggy.
A couple questions to start this thing rolling....
Who is it that you like to watch when they're playing a match?
What goes through your mind during a match?
What do you think are some of the easiest things one can do to improve one's game?

Good questions John, On a professional level I would rather watch Allison Fisher than any of the guys, She is so consistant, she doesnt force her shots she keeps control of her cue ball, she doesnt make many mistakes. On a local level Tim Orange and Joseph Cole are fun to watch two different styles with all the potinial in the world.
during a match I concentrate on controling the table, not doing no more than I have to with the cue ball, this game is so mental If you are not totally focused you will not play your best.
When I worked out with Mark He said that most amatuers dont have a consistant stroke. making sure you stroke is the same and your cue is level is very important. making sure you hit the cue ball where you are aiming, maintaining a strong bridge, lots of drills you can do to help you with this. Keep stroking! Bugy |

What is the best exercise, in your own opinion, to get better control of ball speed?

| Start off with a simple lag, then test your rails with spin on the cue. I also have a timing shot that I use. I think the lag will tell you alot about the table |

link
Is this where you like to break from? Or do you prefer a different cue ball location? What type of English doyou prefer for your breaks? Does it change based on table conditions?
This post is just a test to see if the link works. Thanks to Joseph Cole for showing it to me. |

I came into the league ranked high, Going from an 8 to a 9 in nine ball made me play safe alot more only 10 more balls but it seems like a 100
I use that cue location if im trying to make the 8 on the break, If the table dont break well I will go to middle of table and just try to break and run. I use middle to bottom english on my break to control the cue ball |

If you don't mind, what is the timing shot you use?
How often do you practice the fundamentals now? |

Im sure you have seen me do it. I line up a one rail bank long rail, then 3 rail the cue ball to kick it in after the object ball gets past the side pocket
Not as often as I should, keep the game simple you will play better, dont overthink the game |

In my opion keeping it simple means to go back to basic fundamentals of the game, dont try to over do it. Usualy when you try to hard to fast you wind up messing up your game.Thats my opion because I do my self.
